An Appeal by NSWF for Contributions for PM's Insurance Project

One of the projects identified by NSWF is to support the following insurance based welfare schemes introduced by our Honble PM Modi: • Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. This is basically a Personal Accident insurance policy providing personal accident cover for Rs.2 lakhs, for an annual premium of just Rs.12. • Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. This is basically a Term Life insurance policy providing life insurance cover for Rs.2 lakhs, for an annual premium of just Rs 330. • For a cost of just Rs.342 per annum, insurance coverage of Rs.4 lakhs can be obtained under the scheme. We want to help at least 100 less fortunate people in our area to obtain this coverage. The project cost is Rs.25,000. For the year 2019, NSWF arranged 72 Personal Accident policies at a cost of Rs.864. NSWF also arranged 42 Life Insurance policies at a cost of Rs.13,860. These policies are due for renewal by end May 2020. NSWF would like to help in the renewal of policies and add some more deserving cases. During 2019, a claim of Rs.2 lakhs was succesfully received for an unfortunate victim. Though a life cannot be replaced, this Rs.2 lakhs received from insurance helped the family to overcome their immediate financial needs.
